SOTA Family Kick Off Event 2026

September 11 | 5:00-8:30pm | Devney Park, Altoona  

We’re kicking off a brand-new SOTA season, and we want the WHOLE FAMILY there! This is a time to gather, connect, laugh, and celebrate what’s ahead for our dancers and families.

POTLUCK STYLE

Every family is asked to bring a dish to pass to share with everyone. Bring your favorite appetizer, side, main dish, dessert, or anything in between!

INFLATABLE COSTUME KICKBALL

We’re taking kickball to a whole new level and inviting Mom, Dad, siblings—everyone! to get in on the fun.

Inflatable costumes are completely optional, but they REALLY do make the experience better (and funnier!). Jump on Amazon and grab one for Dad, the kids, or the whole family!

Some fun ideas: Dinosaur, Shark, Unicorn, Pizza, Chicken, T-Rex, Flamingo, Alien, Funny character costumes, Superhero

Don’t want to buy a costume? No problem! Come as you are and join the game. We just want everyone ready to play and have fun!

WHAT TO BRING

Required:

  • A dish to pass

  • Lawn chairs for each person attending

  • Tennis shoes

  • Athletic/comfortable clothing suitable for playing kickball

  • Water bottles

Optional but HIGHLY encouraged:

  • Inflatable costumes!
