Teacher’s Assistant Application

Being a student teacher is a blessing & huge responsibility. Each dance class is an opportunity to be an example in dancing but also spiritual maturity. A TA (Teacher’s Assistant) is someone who has had at least 2 years of technical training, has a high level of technique, has a teachers heart, loves children and strong leadership skills.

TA’s must be at least 12 years old. Exceptions may apply. By the SOTA director’s approval.

A mandatory teacher’s training held August 17th from 9:00am-2:00pm. Once accepted, we will send you your teacher orientation manual.

Applying for a TA position doesn’t mean an automatic spot. We will review applications and contact you about availability. There may be a interview scheduled as well.

Basic Job Description

TA’s will be available for The Gatherings. TA’s will help check students in, make them feel loved and welcome during fellowship time, lead worship time (doing actions, encouraging students to participate), lead group breakouts where students will break into small groups based on age to talk through the bible lesson, and then will be assigned a dance class where they will help the teacher with attendance, barre & center combinations, tie dance shoes, take the students to the restroom...etc.
